6th Grade: Year in Books

*Note: this post will not show my reading log for 6th grade, only the reading stats and a few tips on where to log your own reading*

Finally finished 6th grade! Scroll down to see the stats of my year in reading.

Stats:

35,610 pages read from August 4th 2020 to May 28th 2021

128 books

*Tip: To keep track of your own reading, I highly recommend using Goodreads as it allows you to shelve books on your to-read, read, and currently-reading lists (and other lists that you may create yourself) and creating a simple Google Doc.

Using Google Docs:

I prefer creating two Google Docs, one for the school year and one for the calendar year. These docs just have the names of the books and authors and I color-code the lists by month. I also have a monthly reading record where I can log the genres, rating, and dates started and finished.

Using Goodreads:

If you choose to use Goodreads to track your reading, follow the steps below to create an account and get started with Goodreads.

1. Go to goodreads.com

2. Click the dark brown box that says "Sign up with email"

3. Enter your name, preferred email address and password. Also check the box that says "I'm not a robot" and click "Sign up" after going through the reCAPTCHA quiz that verifies that you're not a robot.

4. Set a reading goal (or you can skip this step)

5. Select your favorite genres so Goodreads can make better book recommendations and tailor what you see in your Updates feed.

6. Rate 20 books to get personalized recommendations and then click "I'm finished rating"

7. Click "Done here? See what's next" in the lower right-hand corner of the screen

8. You're done!
