The Vanderbeeker family had lived in a brownstone that they called home for practically forever, so when one night almost 1 week to Christmas, they find out that they would have to move out of their brownstone by the end of the year. So the 5 siblings, Isa and Jessie, (Twins, 12 year olds) Oliver (9 years old) Hyacinth (6 years old) and Laney (4 and three quarter years old), have no option but to save their home. Not to mention that they have a grumpy landlord, who they call The Beiderman (actual name: Mr. Beiderman) Through handing out petitions to gifting cats and making experiments, what would change Mr. Beiderman's mind? Papa had also lived there his whole life and their other neighbours, Miss Josie and Mr. Jeet, were so kind and loving that they couldn't bare to go. They also knew everyone's name in their neighbourhood!
What I thought about the book:
This wasn't my first time reading this book, but I really didn't remember the whole story. (I had read it about 1 year ago) So, when I found it on Sora (eBook platform) I thought why not?
