The Unteachables - a humorous school story that shows clear character change over the course of the book. Zachary Kermit, a 55-year-old "burned-out" teacher, who has been teaching for 27 years at Greenwich. A cheating scandal from one of his students (that happened 25 YEARS AGO!) has landed him the position of teacher of SCS-8 (also known as, The Unteachables). This class features 7 different students, Kiana, who doesn't even belong in this class; Parker, a farm boy with dyslexia; Aldo, who has anger issues; Elaine, who rhymes with pain; Mateo, stuck in a fantasy world; Barnstorm, injured athlete; and Rahim, a sleep-deprived artist.
Mr. Kermit, is just waiting until the end of the year -- until he can qualify for early-retirement (but the Superintendent seems to want to shut down that idea) -- and is passing time by doing crossword puzzles! Room 117 (class of The Unteachables) will experience destruction, boredness, and maybe some second-chances during this school year!
What I Thought:
I liked this book a lot -- it was a type of book where every chapter was a different perspective/person. It showed all opinions, whilst having the story move forward. It was a book, that I enjoyed reading very much, with all the different sides †o the story! I recommend all to read this book, if you can!
