by: R.K. Narayan
This book was recommended to me by my mother, who was a big fan of the 1986 TV serial, Malgudi Days, by R.K. Narayan. This book is all about Swami and his friends, Rajam, Mani, Somu, Sankar and the Pea in the charming little town of Malgudi. I found this book to be very interesting having it set in the 1930s. (It was published by R.K. Narayan in 1935) during the freedom struggle against the British. Through putting his cap made of "English" material into the bonfire and breaking the window with shards of glass and running away from home because of getting expelled, there is no way he can't cause any more mischief. This is a very nice book to read.
nice review!
