Ellie Magari just found out that her mother — lead singer of an '80s cover band called CYNDI LAUPER IS NOT DEAD! — is dead. But how do you mourn the loss of a mother you've never met? Who exactly was Ellie's mom? She wouldn't mind another role model, other than her chef dad. "Fueled by the bighearted sounds of '80s rock and roll, plus large doses of Cyndi Lauper's girl-power joy, Confusion Is Nothing New is about friendship, family mysteries, and the perfect pizza." (as written in the book's summary) Confusion is Nothing New is also about girls who understand it's important to make things. But breaking things is okay too. "In fact, sometimes breaking things is also required."
What I Thought:
Confusion is Nothing New is a seriously good book. It's about loss, finding the missing parts and discovery. I really enjoyed the book, even though I wouldn't have minded it being a bit longer. The book says the age group is for 8 year olds and above and with the length of the book being shorter, it should be a quick and easy read. :)
