Aadya Reads is 2!

Let's celebrate!

Since 12th June 2019, Aadya Reads has posted 90 posts (including this one!) They include posts that do not recommend books! This year, Aadya Reads has also participated in the Read for Books Charity Drive and we have also started the June Aadya Reads Book Club!

How it all started:

It was the Festival of Reading at school, and I was walking down the corridors of the classrooms, trying to find a good book to read. It'd been very hard in the past to find a good book to read. So, my Mom kept sending me emails with Newbery book recommendations. But, when I tried them out, they were plain boring. That's because they were recommended from an adult. That summer of 2019, I decided to take it upon myself. To build a website where I would recommend books to other children!

Why:

I felt that all the books that were on the reading lists from other adults, were mostly on those lists because most of them were award-winning. Some of the books were nice, but most children would not find them interesting. I created Aadya Reads so that another kid would ever have to worry about reading a boring book!
